VISION
We are a network to support and inspire each other
IIDRN seeks to highlight the profiles of researchers, students, Indigenous community members, and policy makers from around the world who share a commitment to research concerning Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and healthy aging in Indigenous peoples.
GOAL
Enhance knowledge of how Indigenous peoples understand and experience dementia and the impact of dementia on Indigenous peoples and communities
AIMS OF OUR NETWORK

Bring together researchers with an interest in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) in Indigenous peoples and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience with research in this area

Create a forum to exchange knowledge concerning ADRD between researchers, government and policy personnel and Indigenous experts and community members

The IIDRN, with the help of our partners, held the inaugural IIDRN Conference in Honolulu, Hawai'i in November 2023. This was the first conference of its kind and will continue for 4 more years.
